West Dance Workshops is an initiative of Vision Events Pty. Ltd. Vision Events was formed out of a need for high quality equipment and services specifically for the performing arts industries. Vision Events prides itself on its exacting standards and a high quality of every event that we work with.
One of Vision Events’ directors, Terri Herlings, has studied dance for nearly 20 years and worked as a professional dancer with touring productions and on film. Terri reflected on how difficult it was as a young dancer growing up in Sydney’s west to get the opportunity to further her studies and work with professional choreographers. Terri as a young performer was fortunate to have the support to be able to make the journey into the city for dance workshops. Unfortunately due to excessive costs and transportation issues this opportunity is not available to many aspiring dancers.
Out of a desire to help and support the next generation of performers West Dance Workshops were born. Utilising the production experience, contacts and resources of Vision Events, West Dance Workshops aim to bring to the west workshop productions with the same level of professional tuition and resources without the excessive costs and hassles of the big city productions.
